TITLE: Global Content Hub Officer

TEAM/PROGRAMME: Global Creative Content Unit

LOCATION: Jordan or anywhere in the MENAEE region where SCI has a presence

GRADE: 4

CONTRACT LENGTH:

1-year fixed term (renewable)

CHILD SAFEGUARDING:

Level 2 – Level 2: either the post holder will have access to personal data about children and/or young people as part of their work; or the post holder will be working in a ‘regulated’ position (accountant, barrister, solicitor, legal executive); therefore a police check will be required (at ‘standard’ level in the UK or equivalent in other countries).

A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) enhanced check or equivalent overseas police check will be obtained for employees at this level prior to their Start Date. As the post is covered by the Exceptions Order 1975 to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, any spent or unspent criminal convictions will be considered when considering suitability for the role.

ROLE PURPOSE:

To support in the management of visual content using Save the Children’s global digital asset management (DAM) system, “The Content Hub” – Save the Children’s secure depositary for archival and current visual content

Content Hub. You will support and maintain systems for collection, archiving and re-purposing of film. Working on case studies with Country Offices, checking safeguarding, consent, ethical use and metadata.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Reports to: (technical) Digital Asset Manager (administrative) MENAEE ACCM team

Staff reporting to this post: N/A

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :

  • Process new registrants and help them navigate the system and training modules.
  • Support the DAM Manager in solving all administrative issues relating the DAM
  • Monitor all Content Hub queries through email and Teams, supporting in answering all external enquiries / licensing requests
  • Ensure compliance with global data privacy legislation as it pertains to storing imagery and consent
  • Work with teams across the organisation on ensuring they embrace and correctly use key wording and metadata
  • Process photos, film and case studies, organise editing, caption and retouch images, link images

and stories

  • Support GCCU Producers and Editors in archiving and distributing their content
  • Assist in the consent process to ensure that every asset is fully consented with paperwork to accompany
  • Create and participate in dummy runs processing user permissions in CH. To decide what level to assign and demonstrate an understanding of why.
  • Carry out the responsibilities of the role in a way which reflects Save the Children’s

commitment to safeguarding children in accordance with the Child Safeguarding Policy.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Essential

  • Experience using a digital asset management system
  • Knowledge of assessing and archiving content
  • Ability to write in plain English, and basic copy-editing and proofreading skills
  • A high level of computer literacy (eg word, excel, databases, desk top publishing skills)
  • Ability to understand and accept the requirement for sensitivity/confidentiality when handling
  • information
