About the role:
- Be the first to issue breaking news alerts on major news stories from Korea and write updates
- Report and write stories following up on the initial news break
- Monitor key sources of news, major economic indicators and regulatory filings in Korea
- Work with editors and correspondents on stories that span multiple countries and regions
- Develop and work on initiative story ideas under your own byline
About you:
- At least two years of journalism experience
- The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced newsroom environment
- Experience covering North Korea and South Korea’s politics, society and business for a news organisation
- The personality and communication skills to work closely with colleagues with different backgrounds and expertise
- The ability to write fast and clearly in English and fluency in Korean
