AAN is pursuing an aggressive growth strategy underpinned by excellence in service, improvising innovation, and technology, strengthening partnerships and resources, forging institutional systems and diversity. AAN is currently pursuing to engage Finance Specialist on short-term basis for an upcoming opportunity with a UN agency to spearhead a crucial initiative – the Decentralization and Regionalization Evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the financial aspects of organizational reforms, ensuring they deliver the most suitable approach for achieving transformation outcomes.
- Assess the financial effectiveness and efficiency of implementation processes, including addressing financial opportunities, risks, adaptation, and efficient resource use, even in the face of external factors such as COVID-19.
- Determine and analyze achieved and unachieved financial outcomes attributable to reforms, with a strong emphasis on optimizing financial performance and supporting organizational goals.
- Outline the financial factors influencing reform design, processes, and outcomes, including unintended financial consequences, and provide insights for future financial improvements.
- Leverage positive financial experiences and course-correct as needed to maximize the financial benefits of the change process.
Key Requirements:
- A graduate degree in business administration, business studies, information technology, economics, statistics, or social sciences, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Extensive knowledge, understanding, and experience of UN reform and financial management.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of UN operations, preferably within UN or other large organizations/governments.
- Expertise in financial analysis, end-to-end project management, financial management functions and systems in large organizations.
- Strong proficiency in strategic financial management and systems in large organizations.
- Demonstrable expertise and experience in financial procurement functions and systems in large organizations.
- Knowledge and experience in financial-focused change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Solid understanding of how financial aspects are impacted by and impact change.
- Strong team player and collaborator with a finance-specialized approach.
