AAN has undertaken more than 110 consulting projects in over 26 countries (East Asia and Pacific, South & West Asia, Middle East, East and South Africa, and West Africa), with bi / multilateral funding agencies, United Nations, public sector, and nonprofit entities.

AAN is pursuing an aggressive growth strategy underpinned by excellence in service, improvising innovation, and technology, strengthening partnerships and resources, forging institutional systems and diversity. AAN is currently pursuing to engage Human Resource Management Specialist on short-term basis for an upcoming opportunity with a UN agency to spearhead a crucial initiative – the Decentralization and Regionalization Evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and ensure the appropriateness of organizational reforms, with a focus on HR strategies, to achieve transformation outcomes effectively.
- Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of implementation processes, including addressing HR-related opportunities, risks, adaptation, and efficient resource use, even in the face of external factors such as COVID-19.
- Determine and analyze achieved and unachieved outcomes attributable to reforms, with a strong emphasis on HR practices, aiming to enhance point-of-delivery effectiveness, agility, and support for overarching goals.
- Outline the factors that influence reform design, processes, and outcomes, including unintended HR-related consequences, and provide insights for future improvements in HR strategy.
- Leverage positive HR-related experiences and course-correct as needed to maximize the benefits of the change process, with a particular focus on HR best practices.
Key Requirements:
- A graduate degree in business administration, business studies, information technology, economics, statistics, or social sciences, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Extensive knowledge, understanding, and experience of UN reform and HR management.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of UN operations, preferably within UNor other large organizations/governments.
- Expertise in HR-specific business analysis, end-to-end project management, financial management, strategic human resource management, procurement functions, and organizational strategy.
- Knowledge and experience in HR-focused change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Strong understanding of how HR practices are impacted by and impact change.
- Strong team player and collaborator with an HR-specialized approach.
