HR & Recruitment Officer, PLF – Brisbane

Project Overview:

The Pacific Labour Facility (PLF) facilitates seasonal and longer-term work opportunities for Pacific workers in Australia. It connects Australian employers with Pacific workers under the newly introduced Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme which combines the existing Pacific Labour Scheme (PLS) and Seasonal Worker Programme (SWP).

Role Overview:

The HR and Recruitment Officer will provide administrative support to the HR team in the provision of recruitment, performance management, induction, and other human resource functions to support the Pacific Labour Facility program (PLF).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Support all aspects of human resources processes across the employee lifecycle including onboarding, performance assessments, leave management, compensation and offboarding
Support the administration of PLF recruitment processes, including phone screens, job placements, shortlisting, CV management, interviews and due diligence
Ensure all personnel HR information is updated in Palladium HR systems and maintain HR files
Provide general administration support to the HR team including management of inbox, preparation and delivery of accurate communication content for staff updates and reporting
Assist with special projects, such as process improvements and new policies

About You:

Relevant HR or business-related qualification, or equivalent working experience
Demonstrated experience in an HR Administrator position with strong organisational skills
Administrative experience in supporting recruitment activities including posting vacancies, phone screening, arranging interviews, conducting due diligence and reference checks
Proven ability to plan and manage schedules, files/database and working materials as well as to keep confidentiality of documents and information
Well-developed communication skills, including in a cross-cultural context

Applications close on 26 November 2023 and will be assessed on a rolling basis. The successful candidate will be offered a contract through to 31 December 2024.

This is a Brisbane based role with options for flexible working. Candidates who are willing to relocate for the position must do so at their own expense. You must have valid Australian work rights to be considered for this position – visa sponsorship is not available.
