We are looking for a Global Head of Procurement and Logistics to be part of our team and join us in delivery of our global strategy. Reporting to the Global Head of Systems, and working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, this role will ensure our procurement and logistics function enables the effective delivery of GOALs strategy in line with sector best practice. They will manage our headquarters team of twelve and provide the leadership and standards for all our global operations.

This a great opportunity for someone looking to make a real difference in how procurement and logistics services are delivered. There will the opportunity to work with teams across GOAL operations and the requirement for some travel. ideally candidates will be based in Ireland or the UK.

Job Purpose

  • Ensure the effective and efficient delivery of Procurement and Logistics services across GOAL. This means fit for purpose procedures, trained staff, and the ability to work proactively with programmes and finance teams throughout design and delivery of projects.
  • This role will lead by example in working collaboratively with other departments in a solution focussed manner to ensure our ability to respond to crisis and build resilience.
  • Continually improve and evolve our procurement and logistics based on robust data and active learning. We aim to design and implement evidence-based system improvements within budget and to the highest standards of compliance.
  • Currently we are in the process of system standardisation, optimisation, and digitisation as part of a wider organisational digital transformation strategy. This role will be integral to the delivery of sustained process improvements.

The Person
We are looking for a strong technical expert with specific procurement and logistics experience in the humanitarian sector
Someone who will provide strategic change based on operational experience and organisational evidence.
We need someone willing and able to build a strong internal network ensuring procurement and logistics are recognised as a key business partner across all organisational areas.
Excellent problem-solving capacity, with the ability for considered analysis and sound judgment to find solutions across competing priorities. It is essential to be hands-on, practical, and willing to work as part of a team.
