Summary: The Social Media Director will Impact and drive best-in-class social presence, social strategy, and brand reputation management for the Huda Beauty brand. They will drive Huda Beauty’s social media and new media initiatives, uncovering new opportunities for the brand to explore in the digital space (both online and offline). This role will develop and cascade strategic social initiatives across all key and help oversee Huda Beauty’s social channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with Senior Leadership to define the vision, purpose, tone, and cadence of our social channels, and execute against that vision, ultimately achieving both engagement and acquisition.
  • Develop, implement, and manage Huda Beauty’s social media strategy and campaigns across various platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Ensure that the strategy is in line with the overall objectives of the company.
  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership to develop and deploy owned social media campaigns, including IG Stories content and positioning, etc. that drive engagement and acquisition.
  • Create and publish compelling and engaging content that drives traffic, creates strong brand DNA, increases brand awareness, and engagement; work cross-functionally with both in-house and contracted creative teams to create effective, engaging, and on-brand content.
  • Partner with the Global Marketing Team to align Huda Beautys social media strategy with broader Huda Beauty marketing and growth initiatives; collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design, Sales, and Customer Service to ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints.
  • Help build and manage Huda Beauty’s global social media content calendar to ensure consistent and timely content is being created, posted, and monitored.
  • Oversee all paid social media campaigns, including budget management, targeting and reporting.
  • Track and analyze social media metrics and use data-driven insights to optimize social media strategy and campaigns; create regular reports that track our long-term strategies and offer key learnings and recommendations for optimization.
  • Identify and manage relationships with influencers and brand advocates to drive awareness and engagement.
  • Partner with the Global Marketing Team to understand the creation and flow of campaign assets and develop strategies to integrate and supplement across various markets.
  • Develop, track, and report important KPI’s and metrics to illustrate successes and opportunities in our social marketing and content efforts.
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, changes, platforms, technologies, and best practices.
  • Build, develop and lead a high-performing social media team that can create highly shareable content that is creative, attention-grabbing and on-brand.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in social media management and/or content creation, ideally managing paid social media campaigns.
  • Experience in the Beauty, Fragrance or Cosmetics space is preferred.
  • Proficient in social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, and Sprout Social and fluent on IG and all social platforms including TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Snapchat.
  • Demonstrated experience managing social media campaigns across various platforms, analytics, and reporting; strong knowledge of social platforms, best practices, and trends.
  • Enthusiastic leader with proven ability in growing, building, inspiring and developing teams with a servant leadership mentality.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, coaching, and listening skills with the ability to communicate within all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously; excellent time-management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient writer with the ability to adapt language and messaging depending on platform and audience.
