Job Summary:

As an Engineer II (IMU), you’ll play a crucial role in designing inertial measurement units and hybrid navigation systems. From developing sensor mathematical models to guiding electronic hardware development, you’ll be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Understand project requirements and deliver objectives within project timelines.
  • Coordinate project elements on the IMU development lifecycle, from design to commissioning.
  • Contribute to the design and analysis of IMUs and hybrid navigation systems, developing detailed algorithms.
  • Lead electronic development activities for IMU-related projects.
  • Support IMU integration into test facilities and higher-level assembly products.
  • Participate in Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEAs) and quality history reviews.
  • Develop IMU calibration and compensation algorithms.
  • Support evaluation of navigation functions during integration.
  • Write test procedures for land vehicle testing.
  • Manage execution of laboratory and land vehicle testing to analyze performance.
  • Guide and train Junior Engineers to develop their capabilities in IMUs and navigation technology.

Experience & Education Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in algorithm development, simulation, and modeling in a navigation environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Mechanical engineering or related discipline.
  • Preferred 8 years’ similar experience with some regional industry exposure.
  • Preferred Master’s or Doctorate degree in Electronics or Mechanical engineering/Certification in control systems and optimal estimation theory.
  • Proficiency in developing navigation systems and algorithms.
  • Knowledge of electronic hardware simulation tools.
  • Experience in testing IMU systems and analyzing inertial measurement units.
  • Strong skills in electronic hardware design and integration.
