About Job

As a Learning & Development Director you will be responsible t o develop, manage and drive Learning & Development strategy to strengthen people and organisational capabilities and performance to ensure that One&Only One Za’abeel is the Employer of Choice.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

Training

  • Develop, plan and manage the Learning function and the training resources for One&Only One Za’abeel
  • Design and deliver e-learning courses, workshops and other trainings
  • Liaise with external institutions and organizations for appropriate external programs that Colleagues will be nominated for and administer the total process.
  • Plan, design and facilitate the delivery of the following of Kerzner & One&Only Brand programs:
  • Onboarding & Orientation
  • Core Modules
  • Leadership Modules
  • Performance Management
  • And any other programs as required.

Departmental Training

  • Develop and ensure a pool of departmental trainers is available to conduct regular and consistent departmental training to fulfill the needs of all operational departments.
  • Ensure that the yearly KPI for on the job training hours is achieved
  • Ensure that departmental trainers are engaged and developed and expected standards of on the job training are maintained.

Colleague Development

  • Evaluate individual and organizational development needs
  • Oversee the Career development program ensuring all colleagues have developmental plans
  • Facilitate learning interventions such as coaching, job-shadowing, online training
  • Assess the success of development plans and help colleagues make the most of learning opportunities
  • Help managers develop their colleagues through career pathing
  • Driving a culture of continuous professional development (CPD)
  • Monitor how effectively learning has been transferred to colleagues

Team Management

  • Hire and oversee the L&D team
  • Ensure the L&D team is constantly learning and developing themselves

Management Trainee and Internship Program

  • Manage and drive all initiatives and programs for Management Trainees and Interns in line with Kerzner Global standards.
  • Maintain the relationship with local and international hotel schools and other top tier universities
  • Ensure that training plans for Management trainees and interns are followed through

Systems

  • Ensure effective implementation and utlisation of Learning management system.
  • Work in conjunction with Employee Marketing team and ensure that the L&D page of Ikonnect is updated and colleagues have access to all the relevant L&D information on the platform

About You

A perfect candidate should have a university degree in HR or Business, CIPD qualification in Learning & Development (Highly desirable). Qualification in Coaching. Minimum 8-10 years of experience in L&D within Hospitality Industry. Experience in Instructional design and psychometric testing (Highly desirable). Experience in implementing LMS (preferred). Preopening Hotel experience (Preferred). Ability to lead highly effective teams
