
Imagination Library of Montgomery County, MD
Position Summary
The Imagination Library of Montgomery County MD is seeking a Coordinator to help with day-to-day operations. This will be the organization’s first paid position.
Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Executive Committee, the Coordinator will:
Manage the Book Enrollment System to approve and process new individuals who are signing up to be a part of the program.
Represent Imagination Library at community events.
Work with the Board of Directors to schedule meetings, keep the website up to date and coordinate other necessary administrative tasks.
Outreach to schools (Teachers, Principals, Community School Liaisons, etc.) and community based organizations that could partner with Imagination Library.
Assist with fundraising by keeping track of all open grant applications and timelines for grant notices and grant reports.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant field
Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders, government agencies, school districts, community-based organizations, and diverse Montgomery County families
Ability to initiate and manage projects, work independently, and balance competing priorities
Strong written and oral communication skills
Computer skills in order to manage the online Book Enrollment system through Imagination Library
Montgomery County resident preferred
Compensation
Initially, this part-time, hourly position has a term of approximately 6 months, though it will likely be extended. The hourly rate will range from $20-30, dependent on qualifications and experience.
