
Cancer Research Institute
The Cancer Research Institute (CRI), a nonprofit organization dedicated to harnessing the immune system’s power to control and one day cure all cancers, is looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic team member to help grow our fundraising efforts, specifically providing administrative and data entry support to the team.
The successful candidate must be willing to dedicate the time and energy to cultivate their knowledge of development, research and analysis, and ability to work in a team.
Responsibilities:
- Work within NFP software
- Perform constituent data-entry
- Ensure all information entered into donor database is done according to established protocols
- Generate thank you letters
- Conduct research on current and potential donors to inform and support Planned Giving Team
- Create and/or update documents and spreadsheets
- Maintain organized filing system (electronic and paper) for Development files
- Provide general support to the Chief Information Officer for outreach and response to donors as needed
Other responsibilities
- Answer phone calls with proper call screening, forwarding, and message taking
- Maintain relationship with donors through phone and email
- Track meetings, contact notes, and key donor information
- Prepare, submit, and track purchase orders, invoices, and payments
- Assist with opening mail and processing checks
- Demonstrate organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail
- Prioritize daily assignments, work independently, and complete all projects in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required
- Fluent in Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, mail merges, and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
- Interest in fundraising and donor engagement
- Highly organized and Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Prior experience a plus
