Role Purpose

Lead the strategic growth of the business development department in E-commerce by analyzing market trends, negotiating with brands, and executing effective launch and marketing plans.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze market data to identify and understand evolving demand categories, providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify and select suitable brands that align with the department’s demand analysis and market trends.
  • Negotiate with prospective brands on commercial terms, ensuring favorable terms for both parties, and oversee the seamless onboarding process.
  • Develop comprehensive plans for successful brand launches, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and timely execution of all launch-related activities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure brand visibility and effective communication strategies that resonate with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of brands, continuously assessing key performance indicators and identifying areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
  • Devise and execute effective discount planning strategies, ensuring timely implementation and alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Conduct a comprehensive analysis of GMV (Gross Merchandise Volume), margins, discounting, sessions, click-through rates, product display pages, and product listing pages, providing insightful reports and recommendations for optimizing brand performance.
  • Review and assess the effectiveness of sessions, click-through rates, product listing pages, product display pages, and customer orders, utilizing data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate banner performance and collaborate with the Merchandising team to implement necessary actions for enhancing brand visibility and performance within the marketplace.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to create and execute plans that drive consumer engagement and improve brand visibility, utilizing daily phasing strategies to optimize consumer interaction and conversion rates.
  • Scrutinize warehouse stockkeeping units (SKUs) versus live SKUs, ensuring non-live products are strategically integrated into the live inventory to maximize product availability and consumer satisfaction.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of top-selling SKUs, ensuring timely replenishment and proactive inventory management to meet consumer demand and maintain high customer satisfaction levels.

Requirements

  • Candidate should have minimum 5 to 7 years of experience.
  • Retail industry exposure is a must.
  • BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field.
  • Proven sales track record in E-commerce
