Established in 2007, AAN Associates is a ‘Social Enterprise’ established to enable development partners in finding simple, innovative, cost-efficient, and sustainable solutions to developmental challenges. AAN Associates brings extensive research and evaluation experience in varied contexts i.e., development to humanitarian (including complex emergencies) crises. AAN has undertaken more than 110 consulting projects in over 26 countries (East Asia and Pacific, South & West Asia, Middle East, East and South Africa, and West Africa), with bi / multilateral funding agencies, United Nations, public sector, and non-profit entities.
AAN is a growing organisation with a distinctive track of producing award-winning research, evaluations. These awards and distinctions have come to complement AAN’s recognition as practice lead in ‘Social Research’ and ‘Evaluations’. AAN is currently pursuing to engage Senior change management specialist on short-term basis for an upcoming opportunity with a UN agency to spearhead a crucial initiative – the Decentralisation and Regionalization Evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and ensure the appropriateness of organizational reforms, striving for the best possible approach to achieve transformation outcomes.
- Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of change implementation, ensuring the organization follows through with the intended design, addressing risks, assumptions, and adapting as necessary.
- Determine the outcomes attributable to the reform, focusing on enhancing the organization’s point of delivery, agility, and support for overarching goals.
- Identify and highlight factors that influence reform design, process, and outcomes, including unintended consequences, and provide insights for future improvements.
- Leverage positive experiences and adapt as needed to maximize the benefits of the change process moving forward.
Key Requirements:
- A graduate degree in business administration, business studies, information technology, economics, statistics, social sciences, or a relevant field.
- Recognized expertise in organizational design, development, high-level strategy, systems development, and change management.
- In-depth knowledge, understanding, and experience of UN reform.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in conducting systems research and evaluation at global, regional, and country levels.
- Expertise and experience in leading large evaluation and review teams.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in ambiguous situations.
- Demonstrated experience in working with UN agencies or large organizations/governments.
- Strong team player, able to collaborate effectively.
- Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
- Ability to communicate effectively to various audiences.
- High proficiency in English; additional language expertise in Spanish or French is preferable.
