Experience with nonprofit fundraising and individual giving, is a must. Experience with corporate sponsorships, foundation giving, and public/private partnerships is also a plus. The right person will possess excellent interpersonal skills, keen attention to detail, and a strong work ethic to strengthen the organization’s fundraising capacity to ensure we meet our annual goals. They will grow CicLAvia’s community of supporters by cultivating our fans’ connection to the organization while continuing to build the organization’s relationship with its existing donors.
Reporting to the Chief Impact Officer and working closely with the Communications team and outside consultants as needed, you will:
● Work with senior staff to execute an annual fundraising strategy that includes monthly donors, end-of-year campaign, corporate sponsorships, and foundation funding.
● Maintain and track accurate and updated donor information in the Little Green Light database, and adhere to data entry standard procedures including pulling reports as needed and managing thank you notes and other contributor correspondence.
● Assist in development of fundraising campaigns and customized individual proposals to increase giving from prospective and existing donors.
● Research sponsorship and grant opportunities and provide support for relevant proposals.
● Track and report on fundraising metrics across initiatives.
● Assist with data collection, collation, and archiving for grant proposals & reporting and impact reports.
● Assist with the research, inquiry, development, and submission of small ($5,000 and below) grant requests (from templated language).
● Occasional support for organizational events outside of CicLAvia Sundays.
● Assist with additional projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
● Commitment to the mission and work of CicLAvia along with a strong desire and ability to work as part of a fun, creative and entrepreneurial team.
● Min 3 years experience in non-profit fundraising or other related professional work such as communications, sales, administration.
● Experience working with donor databases (Little Green Light experience is a plus).
● Demonstrated experience crafting copy, powerpoints, graphics, and detailed documents for fundraising campaign materials and/or grant proposals.
● Strong proficiency with Mac computers, Google Suite, Canva, Mailchimp and Asana.
● Excellent communicator with strong written and verbal communication, including copy editing skills.
● Excellent organization and time management skills and adept at managing multiple tasks within a fast-paced, deadline-driven, dynamic environment.
● Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams.
