key Roles & Responsibilities:

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Provide overall direction for the effective achievement of functional objectives through effective leadership and by setting of individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating team to maximize performance.
  • Mentor, coach, motivate and challenge the direct reports, providing opportunities for growth and development and enhance their internal capabilities.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to make informed decisions and take prompt actions when necessary.
  • Allocate work to direct reports, nominate for training as per the bank’s guidelines, conduct performance reviews and manage leave and overtime to ensure efficiency.
  • Manager direct reports in their day-to-day tasks and guide them in managing their performance by providing appropriate feedback and counseling.
  • Provide recommendations for hiring and promotions of department staff.
  • Ensure team member has attended their training courses and evaluated by their Line Manager to measure the effectiveness of the training program.

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chief Human Resources Officer in conducting the manpower planning exercise. Distribute annual manpower planning.
  • Support the Chief Human Resources Officer in developing annual recruitment plans and budgets which are aligned to the approved manpower plan and budget; review hiring against the approved recruitment plan and report to the Chief Human Resources Officer & Admin accordingly.
  • To assist the Chief Human Resources Officer in creating Emiratization Plan and ensure to create an in-house database of the Emirati candidates.
  • Contact universities and colleges for Emirati candidates.
  • Perform searches for qualified candidates based on job requirements, through sources such as recruitment agencies, employee referrals, the EDB website/intranet and other applicable sources.
  • Monitor the performance of recruitment agencies/external parties hosting EDB job advertisements and report to the Chief Human Resources Officer accordingly.
  • Maintain and update the CV database to ensure all applicant CVs are available for screening and shortlisting as per EDB’s requirements.
  • Conduct initial screening and shortlisting of applicant CVs and application forms based on the requirements of Executive Team members. Coordinate with the concerned EDB management and shortlisted candidates to organize job interviews and assessment tests.
  • Compile the results of all interviews, assessment tests and job references to facilitate decision making regarding candidate selection.
  • Coordinate with applicants to inform of hiring decisions within the applicable time frame.
  • Prepare job offer letters and employment contracts for candidates approved for hiring and coordinate with candidates to agree on joining dates and formalities.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in regards to employee recruitment and manpower requirements.
  • Maintain all forms and documentation pertaining to applicants and new joiners to ensure easy retrieval of documents as required.
  • Act as a key point of contract to EDB management and job applicants regarding manpower planning and hiring activities.
