Insana Değer Derneği (IDD) is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation providing relief and development assistance in Turkey. IDD is committed to the best practice and quality of work of its staff, its partner organisations and other associates. IDD programs focus mainly on livelihood, food security, rural rehabilitation and emergency education. Operations are managed from Turkey where IDD’s main office is established serving as administrative and logistics support of program being implemented directly or through partners.
General View of the Position:
The recent disasters in parts Turkey have brought about displacement and discomfort in the life of dwellers in those areas. This has resulted in the need to help meet certain basic and urgent needs of the affected people. A distribution activity has therefore been set up in order to deliver aid to those in need or affected by the earthquake within the scope of the project.
Distribution Project Assistant will work with the Distribution Project Officer to ensure distribution activities are implemented at the required quality and deliverables are delivered on the time.
Principal Job duties (responsibilities AND TASKS):
- Project management and development
- Ensure the Project activities are implemented based on directions provided by the line manager.
- Provide administrative or technical support within sector of operation.
- Assist the sector officer in ensuring the quality of the planning, implementation, and follow-up of sector activities.
- With the support of line manager, support project implementation to ensure timely delivery of project activities.
- Collaborate with Project officer, and MEAL staff in implementation of project plans
- A close follow up on project implementation with distribution officer and reports to the line manager on a regular basis
- Prepare and produce periodical project progress reports as required by the management.
- Archive all project documents.
- Execute weekly and monthly project implementation work plans and ensure the effective & efficient implementation of project activities.
- Provide necessary support to inform local communities and community leaders about project activities and standards.

Principal competinces required:
- Technical competencies:
- High school education / Bachelor Degree
- 1 year of professional experience (desirable)
- Experience in NGO
- Communications skills in Turkish and English
- Applicants should be (Turkish Citizenship Only)
- Manual Driving License (B) and active ability to drive
- Proficient in basic MS office required. Knowledge of other application such as Kobo (desirable)
