CHILD SAFEGUARDING:

Level 2: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.

ROLE PURPOSE:

Field Worker (Coach) is responsibie to coordinating project activities in assigned school communities by supporting Principals and Teachers and PTA during the project implementation and liaise with DEO in follow up. As Coach you will provide refresher training to teachers and will be responsible support the management of the technological equipment.

Must give daily support in the schools. Therefore, Coach needs to be linked to the educational community.

Profuturo will give a training to Education Workers (Coaches) on technology, tools, methodology and own contents, work process, etc…

SCOPE OF ROLE:

To provide a wide range of education activities to the PROFUTURO Project in targeted assigned school communities in a counties.

Reports to: Project Coordinator/Officer or his/her designate

Role Dimensions: With the set up, this role will be three fold in the sense that it will first provide adequate support to the delivery of the project goal and objectives, then support the teachers utilization of platform in collaboration with PTA and community leadership and last, participate in school supervision with DEOs.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :

Digital Education Coach / Education Field Worker will make regular program visits to schools to support:

1. HEADTEACHERS AND TEACHERS TRAININGS

* coordinate Initial Training for teachers.

* Reinforcement trainings: programmed training about subjects, difficulties found, etc.

* Individual work with teachers with difficulties: specific trainings about specific subjects

or doubts.

2. PLANNED VISITS TO SCHOOLS

  • Equipment review: material inventory to ensure the correct working of the devices.
  • Meeting with the school Principal to know the project’s progress and possible incidences
  • Review of work schedule to guarantee that the equipment is used and to know-
  • which teachers are using it and in which way.
  • Solve incidences: about equipment, use of the platform and contents.
  • Administration works on the platform to support teachers:
  • Creation of new users in the platform
  • Lessons configuration and contents in the platform.
  • Connection of the computers to internet to send information and updates.
  • Individual work with teachers who have difficulties and reinforcement trainings.
  • New teachers training: initial training for new teachers in the Project.
  • Making tests and surveys for teachers and students.

NOT PLANNED VISITS TO SCHOOLS

  • Visits to schools at the request of the Head-teachers or the person responsible for the

equipment to resolve specific issues. The Field Worker will be trained to resolve first level issues.

More complex incidences will be referred to remote support.

. COMMUNICATION WITH THE REMOTE SUPPORT

  • Notification of incidents that he/she cannot solve.
  • Coordination to perform specific actions for solving incidences or making updates.
  • Regular monitoring meetings by ConfCall.

5. COMMUNITY MOBILIZATION

  • work closely with community structures to ensure their support in application of Platform
  • help PTA understand its role and are actively supporting schools management
  • help schools identify alternative power sources for charging equipment

5. REPORTS

  • Making bi-weekly monitoring reports, according to the Profuturo’s schedule.
