Independent non-profit organization care about the Syrian affairs, where it started its activities in the city of Aleppo north of Syria and was licensed in turkey in 2014

Bonyan’s refugee response program is structured around three axes: education, protection, and livelihoods.

Job Description Details:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support in conducting rapid Education needs assessment to identify and validate or verify specific info corresponding to Education cluster priorities and intervention needs defined by Education cluster coordination team.
  • Integrate agreed priority cross-cutting issues in sectorial needs assessment, analysis, planning, monitoring and response (e.g. age, gender, environment, protection and diversity.
  • Ensure compliance with cluster standard and the implemented work designs specifications are met across Education member interventions.
  • Be Responsible for promoting and adopting standardized methods, tools, and formats for common use in Education needs assessments.
  • Coordinate assessments and studies of targeting information gaps of vulnerable groups.
  • Guide the Education members regularly specially related to data collection, monitoring and evaluation and carry out training sessions, as required.
  • Any other requests related to fieldwork from the Education Cluster team.

Monitoring and reporting:

  • Support Education cluster coordination team and cluster members in conducting technical monitoring and impact evaluation of Education intervention implemented.
  • Organizing, monitoring, and reporting of key messages from the Education cluster to targeted specific communities.
  • Monitor the impact of Education activities and provide regular, timely and accurate narrative for the cluster coordination team or other parties.
  • Timely inform and report to Education cluster coordination team any gaps or need ensuring neutrality across the entire process.

Leadership and management

  • Leading the team inside Syria and following it up daily and through weekly meetings.
  • Attending the cluster meeting periodically and submitting a summary of the work to them.
  • Monitor the challenges facing the team and try to solve them.
  • Communicate with education directorates inside Turkey and meet with them periodically.
  • Directing the team inside Syria and consulting with them in order to accomplish their tasks.

Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a combination with the selective disciplines relevant to the following areas: Education; Primary Education, Social Sciences, or relevant fields.

Requirements:

  • Work experience in Education in Emergencies.
  • Demonstrated skills, experience, and knowledge of Education in Emergencies, particularly in a protracted displacement context.
  • Ability to travel.

Skills

  • Ability to write reports.
  • Excellent knowledge of Turkish and Arabic languages reading, writing, speaking, and understanding
  • Good knowledge of English, reading, writing, speaking, and understanding.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills
  • Computer literacy skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
