Position: Sr. Principle PDK Engineer
Location: Bucheon, South Korea
Job Description
- Develop Cadence and/or Mentor based Process Design Kits (PDK) with high quality and efficiency
- Release and maintain the PDK’s to designer community
- Provide PDK/EDA consulting to Design Teams to support IC design and product development
- Work with Design Enablement teams to set up and optimize the internal CAD system architecture
- Provide PDK infrastructure for new features and functions of EDA tools
- Develop and/or optimize methodology for PDK development and test
- Develop in-house tools to help improve design efficiency and quality
- Other duties assigned from management
Required Qualifications:
- M.S., PhD in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics or related majors; Or B.S. with experience
- More than 15-year hands-on experience with PDK development
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with all PDK fields: tech. file, device, DRC, LVS, PERC, PEX etc.
- Strong knowledge with semiconductor physics, process, and devices of both IC and discrete technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Cadence and/or Mentor PDK development and tools
- Extensive programming knowledge and experience with shell script, Perl, Skill, and/or other similar automation scripting languages
- Knowledge of analog and/or digital design flow
- Knowledge of data management tools and methods
- Strong knowledge of problem analysis and diagnostic techniques.
- Familiarity with the Linux and Windows operating environment.
- Good communication skill in English
- Good teamwork player
