Takaful Al Sham (TAS) has been responding to the Syrian crisis since 2012 and to the Refugee Response in Turkiye since 2013. TAS works in Education, Early Recovery, Food Security, Livelihood & Empowerment, WASH, Protection, Shelter, CCCM, and Emergency Response, where TAS has implemented successfully more than 130 projects in Direct partnership with Institutional donors, UN Agencies, and INGOs such as; BHA, SCHF, UNICEF, WFP, UNDP, IOM, CARE, GOAL, Save the Children, Global Communities, World Vision, DRC, WHH, Archenova, Chemonics. Job summary:

The Trainer will conduct engaging and informative training sessions on Teamwork, Social, and Voluntary Work to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to collaborate effectively, engage in social initiatives, and contribute to voluntary efforts. The Trainer will facilitate a dynamic learning experience that promotes teamwork, community engagement, and social responsibility.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with program coordinators to design a comprehensive curriculum focusing on teamwork, social work, and voluntary initiatives.
  • Develop session plans, materials, and activities in alignment with program objectives and participant needs.
  • Facilitate interactive training sessions on teamwork dynamics, collaboration techniques, and the importance of working effectively in groups.
  • Deliver insightful sessions on the role of social work in community development and the significance of voluntary efforts.
  • Encourage participants to actively engage with their communities through volunteer work, emphasizing the importance of giving back and making a positive impact.
  • Provide guidance on identifying and addressing social issues and effectively planning and implementing community-oriented projects.
  • Help participants build essential skills such as conflict resolution, adaptability, empathy, and effective communication that are vital for teamwork and social engagement.
  • Offer guidance on navigating challenges commonly faced during volunteer work and community involvement.
  • Address participants’ inquiries and concerns, promoting an open dialogue and active participation.
  • Assess participants’ progress and understanding through continuous evaluation during the training program.
  • Provide constructive feedback to individuals to aid in their skill development and ability to contribute to social and voluntary initiatives.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience of at least two years in delivering training on teamwork, social work, and voluntary initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work, sociology, psychology, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of teamwork dynamics, community engagement, and the principles of effective social work and volunteerism.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation.
  • Proficiency in English and familiarity with relevant computer applications.
  • Familiar with the principles of humanitarian action and the principles of protection.
