The College of Engineering (CoE) is the largest engineering college in the UAE, with currently over 3000 students. Engineering programs at the College are ABET accredited and our engineering faculty carry degrees from top universities in North America and Europe. Our state-of-the-art laboratory facilities provide a great environment for student learning. The College has received significant distinctions and awards nationally and internationally. It has MOUs and research collaboration with several top international universities and is supported in research by Centers of Excellence. The College provides all means of success to faculty and equips students with values, knowledge, and skills to distinguish themselves in the market.

CoE is currently inviting applications toward multiple faculty appointments in the Graduate Programs in Engineering Management (MEM) and in Project Management (MPM) for the Fall of Academic Year 2024-2025. Two faculty appointments will be for the Abu Dhabi campus and one for the Dubai campus. Priority will be given at the Assistant and Associate Professor’s level, although highly qualified candidates at the level of full Professor are also encouraged to apply. We are interested in applicants with expertise in the following areas: Industrial Engineering, Project & Contract Management, Total Quality Management; and Operations management, total quality management, operations management, and MIS.

Faculty Role

Faculty members report to the Director of the MEM and MPM programs and the Dean and participate in the growth and development of the programs, the College, and the University. Faculty members will be engaged in teaching in the postgraduate MEM and MPM programs, involved in research activities, and committed to university service.

Qualifications And Requirements

  • An earned doctorate from an accredited institute in engineering from a top 200 university in the QS ranking.
  • Ph.D. degree in Engineering with experience in two areas or more: Ergonomics, Quality and Safety Engineering, Facilities Planning, Operation Research, Supply Chain Management, Project & Contract Management, Total Quality Management; Finance and Accounting, Economics and Marketing, Human Resources Management and Organizational Behavior; Operations Management and MIS
  • A record of distinguished achievement in research in terms of both quality and impact.
  • University teaching experience at the graduate level.
  • Experience in working with people from different ethnic backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication skills, a commitment to the importance of scholarship and diversity, a spirit of entrepreneurship, and an understanding of the role of the university in economic development.
  • Familiarity with the new teaching media, visual communication, and the need to equip students with the varied skills they must have to succeed in an ever-changing media environment.
