Job Title: Finance Assistant

Location: Gaziantep -Turkey

Reported to: Finance Coordinator

Job purpose:

Assisting the finance director in managing, processing, and troubleshooting various accounts and transactions

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Recording the financial operations of projects according to the approved policies.
  • Prepare the files and the financial documents required for each of the organization’s projects and follow up the use of these documents according to the procedures.
  • Review the disbursement documents and Identifications of the projects and ensure their compatibility with financial policies.
  • Auditing the financial operations of projects.
  • Follow up the implementation of projects according to the budgets and inform the direct manager of any overspend.
  • Completion of financial reports according to the plans.
  • Recording the financial operations of the organization’s accounting programs.
  • Archiving the financial operations of the projects according to the approved system on hard copies and soft copies.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the line manager.
  • Any other tasks requested by the line manager within the limits of his / her specialty.

Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Work experience as a Finance Assistant or similar role.
  • Good knowledge of financial and accounting procedures.
  • Experience using financial software.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations of donors and NGOs.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Good analytical and numerical skills.
  • Sharp time management skills.
  • Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
