Gender-based Violence Prevention Program Manager

Permanent Civil Service Position – Full-time position

The Program Manager will be responsible for implementation and oversight of the Division’s new Gender-based Violence (GBV) Prevention and Intervention portfolio that provides a holistic approach to addressing the diverse needs of adults and youth who are victims or survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual assault through the following priority programs: Advocacy and Education, Crisis Lines, Emergency Shelter, Legal Services and Transitional Housing.

The Program Manager will be responsible for managing the Division’s GBV portfolio in partnership with community-based partners and will include (but not be limited to) the following priorities: oversight of the GBV nonprofit grant portfolio; implementing portfolio’s initiatives and strategies to best support impacted residents; assisting with drafting departmental policies and in this areas; overseeing the GBV procurement process from program writing to evaluating proposals; effectively communicating and convening with grantees in order to support program development and implementation; drafting scopes of work with targeted outcomes that align with initiative priorities; regularly managing the collection and analysis of data to evaluate performance and impact; representing MOHCD at inter-departmental and citywide meetings; assisting with presentations as appropriate to the Board of Supervisors and other public bodies; working in cohesion with MOHCD program, fiscal, contract and data staff to best implement programming; and leading a collaborative approach with multiple partners and stakeholders to collectively address the needs of victims or survivors of gender-based violence.
