ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:
UOSSM USA’s vision is to alleviate the suffering and improve the healthcare, mental health, and well-being of people affected by crisis. To achieve that vision, UOSSM USA provides, in collaboration with its strategic partners, impartial lifesaving support, medical relief and access to quality healthcare and mental health services to people affected by crisis through its impactful and cost-effective programs. UOSSM USA currently supports Mental Health and Protection (MH&P) services in Turkey and is looking forward to expanding its impact in Health and MH&P to the underserved people in Jordan, Syrian refugees, and other refugees affected by crisis.
Responsibilities:
Community Outreach:
Engage with local communities to raise awareness about health-related issues.
Conduct educational sessions on topics such as hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
Health Screenings:
Assist in organizing and conducting health screenings in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
Document and maintain accurate records of health assessments.
Support Health Programs:
Work closely with the health team to implement and monitor health programs.
Provide logistical support for health-related events and workshops.
Data Collection and Reporting:
Collect and compile relevant data on community health indicators.
Prepare regular reports on program activities and outcomes.
Capacity Building:
Facilitate training sessions to build the capacity of community members in basic health practices.
Support the development of educational materials for health awareness.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with local healthcare providers and other NGOs to enhance the impact of health interventions.
Participate in meetings and workshops related to health initiatives.
Qualifications:
Background in public health, nursing, community health, or a related field.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively in diverse communities.
Passion for community service and a commitment to improving health outcomes.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Time Commitment:
10 Days maximum / Month
