Ukraine joined FAO in 2003 and since 2015 the Organization has been operating in two strategic directions: emergency humanitarian response in conflict-affected oblasts and agricultural development across the whole country. Following the outbreak of the war in Ukraine in February 2022, FAO has scaled up its activities in the country to support agricultural production and food systems with the aim of protecting the food security of vulnerable households and communities across Ukraine.
This role is based full-time, in office, in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Reporting Lines
Under the overall the direct supervision of the FAO Ukraine Head of Programme Ukraine and in close collaboration with FAOUA National Logistics Assistant and other staff and projects, the Logistics Clerk will be responsible for support, coordination and provision effective support in the management of FAO Ukraine logistical operations in close collaboration with relevant FAO staff with the aim to ensure timely and efficient delivery of activities implemented by FAO Ukraine and in line with corporate rules and procedures.
Technical Focus
The Logistics Clerk will be responsible for the database management, data verification, and logistical administration for FAO Ukraine by maintaining records, ensuring accurate data entry, organizing files, and assisting project logistics.
Tasks And Responsibilities
- To support creation and maintenance of database to track relevant information for the logistics function in FAO Ukraine.
- Facilitate data transfer from documents to digital databases of information related with deliveries or distribution of inputs, goods, equipment and other items provided by FAO to Government entities or beneficiaries.
- Support verification of data related with distributions and other relevant record in a recurrent basis.
- Perform regular database backups to secure data, in close collaboration with IT staff support;
- Provide administrative and functional support for different activities related with distribution of goods, inputs, equipment, ensuring paperwork and information required is completed as per FAO procedures.
- Ensure proper organization of physical files and records, ensuring clear references included in databases and trackers created for documentation and monitoring purposes.
- Provide support for implementation of logistic support to projects, when required. This includes, supporting phone calls, supporting preparation of documentation, record keeping, etc.
- Perform other related duties as required;
CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING
Minimum Requirements
- University degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) in logistics, supply chain, procurement or other related fields is desired
- One (1) year experience in administrative, logistics or related fields of experience
- Working knowledge of Ukrainian
- Working knowledge of English
- National of Ukraine or resident of the country with a valid work permit
