About the Role
CIVICUS is seeking proactive and organised individual with strong communication and facilitation skills to join our team as our Membership Community Building Officer. The role will support meaningful interaction across all stages of the membership journey; curating forums, webinars and events to encourage networking and collaboration among members. The role will also manage the CIVICUS Online community, developing content plans, fostering engagement, and maintaining the platform to enhance member connections and support. The ideal candidate will have experience in community management, event coordination, and a passion for promoting inclusive and collaborative environments.
Key Requirements
- Candidates must have three to five years’ experience working directly with civil society or human rights organisations, ideally with membership-based organisations.
- Fluency in verbal and written communication skills in English; additional professional working proficiency (CEFR B2+) in Spanish, French and/or Arabic
- Experience of community building, particularly in the Global South / Majority of the world.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
- Commitment to CIVICUS’s vision, mission, values and ways of working.
