Functional
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site IT support and troubleshooting for key clients, ensuring the smooth operation of Core42 deployed systems and applications.
- Monitor and maintain Core42’s IT infrastructure on site, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
- Meet and achieve predefined goals for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Operating Level Agreements.
- Support day to day operations, measuring, monitoring, troubleshooting, and upgrading systems on time.
- Help implement and manage Core42’s solutions and system upgrades on site at the clients’ premises.
- Create, define, manage, track, and enhance processes, recommending improvements to ensure that Core42 solutions are being optimally deployed.
- Work with client teams to plan, design, and deploy cloud technologies, and implement cost control strategies where required.
- Develop, modify, support, and maintain AWS based components through Infrastructure as Code and automation.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits, continuously improving monitoring and alerting capabilities, and recommending solutions that help us be more proactive.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system architectures, processes, and procedures.
- Provide training and support to clients, empowering them to effectively utilize the implemented technologies.
- Participate in on-call rotation with the aim of automating and improving process flows.
- Design and maintain custom monitoring dashboards for DEV/OPS/Support.
- Create and maintain Cloud Operations processes and procedures.
- Enhance Core42’s fault tolerance and high availability strategy on site.
- Enhance cloud elasticity through automatic provisioning and destruction of services based on demand.
- Collaborate with Core42 product development teams to understand and engineer creative solutions or solve complex challenges.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Relevant professional certifications, especially AWS.
- 7+ years of experience in the IT field.
- 5+ years of experience working within AWS.
- 5+ years of experience with monitoring solutions (New Relic, PagerDuty, AWS).
- Experience supporting Windows.
- Experience supporting Linux OS (CentOS, Amazon Linux, RHEL).
- Familiarity with container technologies, like Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS.
- Scripting experience preference for PowerShell, Bash.
- Knowledge of storage technologies (SAN, Cloud, Enterprise).
- Familiarity with continuous deployment methodology and other common DevOps tools including Git, Jenkins.
- Proficiency in configuration management and provisioning tools (preferably Ansible and Terraform).
- Knowledge of networking technologies & Cloud specific Network assets.
Ideally, You’ll Also Need
- Experience or familiarity with Security Certifications such as PCI, SOC2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA
- Familiarity with ITIL
- Application Support (Tomcat, Java) experience.
- Experience with Active Directory or other domain management tools.
- Exposure to Azure.
- Exposure to SRE.
- Ability and flexibility to be on-call for escalations and support, migration, and deployments.
- Basic Administration Database experience (Oracle).
- Experience with ticketing systems (Jira preferred).
- Experience working in a virtualized environment (VMWare preferred).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills (over the majority of ISO/OSI).
