Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) seeks a passionate and creative Operations Associate to join our team to provide programmatic support to CREW’s senior leadership and Operations team. Responsibilities:
The Operations Associate will play a key role in assisting the Director of Operations with managing day to day operations of the organization. This person will report to CREW’s Director of Operations and will work closely with the Office Manager.
- Provide programmatic support to the Operations team, including working closely with the Director of Operations on various projects day-to-day.
- Support President and Senior Vice President with matters relating to CREW’s board of directors, including preparing communications, and as a staff liaison.
- Drafting internal and external communications on behalf of leadership.
- Provide administrative support through multiple platforms such as Slack, Google Workspace and Microsoft Office in coordination with Office Manager.
- Assist the Director of Operations with the screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding process for seasonal interns.
- Provides executive support for senior leadership such as arranging meetings and conferences and managing the calendar and expenses.
- Assist in the preparation of expense reports and reconciling corporate credit card statements.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of operations or program management experience including internships, preferably in nonprofit, government, campaign or comparable setting;
- The ability to pivot and adjust priorities responsive to short- and long-term needs
- The ability to initiate and execute projects independently while exercising good judgment and discretion
- Excellent demonstration of oral and written communication
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Google Workspace
- A great sense of humor and enthusiasm for their work
- The ability to work through solutions independently and as a team player
- An interest in government ethics, transparency, and money in politics issues
- The position is based in Washington, D.C. but will be hybrid with employees splitting their time between working at home and working in the office.
