General Role
The strategic partnerships development manager will play a crucial role in our ambitious market initiative to accelerate NIO’s new customer acquisitions and growth in our priority markets. Your work will strengthen NIO’s strategic presence and business partnerships within the automotive industry and with other local players, directly contributing to our expansion.
The partnership development team of entrepreneurial and enthusiastic members are the Brand Ambassadors of NIO, helping NIO broadcast its brand stories and ambitions. We are dedicated to fulfilling business needs by bridging resources among various industries and companies. We create and implement business plans for NIO regional businesses in collaboration with internal functions.
Main Responsibilities
- Build and develop strategic partnerships with local/regional partners and service providers, fostering relationships and nurturing long-term collaboration opportunities.
- Navigate through partner complexities and stakeholder dynamics to co-create innovative solutions and incentives that address partners’ common pain points.
- Lead negotiations and implementations and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales and marketing teams to ensure program milestones are met and alignment between strategic partnership efforts and overall business goals.

- Financial and Technical Knowledge – ability to understand and work with financial and project teams for the projects.

- Honest and ethical with the highest level of personal and professional integrity.
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree or above from a recognised international university.
- At least 5 years of international solid and proven working experience in business development, marketing, or consultative sales.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Arabic is essential. Chinese would be a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in partnership development and agreement negotiations.
- Experience building processes, managing projects, and leading complex programs with various internal and external stakeholders simultaneously.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to think strategically about complex issues and develop actionable recommendations.
- Established relationships within the automotive industry.
