DEPARTMENT PURPOSE: The Operations Department provides efficient, safe operational functions and
support grounded in Feminist Principles that enable OIS to play its role in the Confederation effectively and support the confederation to have greater impact through efficient and effective business support functions.
TEAM PURPOSE: The People & Culture function provides thought leadership, and operational support both across the Confederation, OIS, and countries and regions in: HR, Culture, and Diversity & Inclusion. The People Partner Team works with key stakeholders across OIS to provide day to day HR solutions across the areas of employee relations, reward and benefits, and employee experience. The team also works to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement across the People & Culture function and collaborates to design proactive solutions to support the delivery of the HR strategy.
JOB PURPOSE: The People Partner will flex across the areas of providing People Partnering support to their client group and working on priority projects and initiatives as defined by the Lead People Partner and People and Culture Director. This role will primarily support the OIS, but will also provide HR interventions and coordination as required to support country and region activities or across the wider confederation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Technical, Leadership, People and Resource management)

• Provide People Partner support to the allocated client group across the areas of employee relations
(including performance and grievance management), recruitment, remuneration and benefits, staff
development, policy application and implementation, and general HR advisory support
• In agreement with the Lead People Partner, and Head of HR Countries & Regions, and in consultation
with the Regional HR BP, provide support to the Regional Platform on specific cases.
• Work with the leadership team of the client group to identify strategic and operational HR needs such
as workforce planning, talent development, diversity and inclusion, (this list is not exhaustive) and then
translate these needs into action plans to be delivered
• Work with the Lead People Partner and others across the People & Culture function to identify trends,
gaps in policies and procedures, and development requirements for the OIS and feed these into the HR
work plan, ensuring alignment with HR work across the OIS, Confederation wide and in countries and
regions
• Under the direction of the Lead People Partner be the focal point (within the OIS and the
Confederation as required) on specific HR workstreams (e.g. induction & onboarding, Let’s Talk,
Diversity & Inclusion, building manager capability, reward and benefits, talent management)
• Under the guidance of the Lead People Partner, and in collaboration with key stakeholders both within
the People & Culture function and beyond, contribute to or lead HR initiatives across a range of HR
topics related to the employee experience (e.g. induction, onboarding, building manager capacity). It is
envisaged that these projects will be allocated across the team depending on the priorities and
available resources
• Lead on complex case management (investigations, grievances etc.) for the OIS and wider (as
applicable) with the support of the Lead People Partner and Director People & Culture
• Contribute to building a strong culture of customer service across the People Partner team and the
broader People & Culture function
• Contribute to the development and implementation of a suite of HR reports, designed to provide
accountability for HR delivery, and to inform organisational decision-making

• Ability to analyse a wide range of complex information in order to provide recommendations
• Strong knowledge of employee relations/performance management/performance development
practices, ideally within an international context
• Working knowledge of English

• Working knowledge of French, Spanish, Arabic
