Product Specialist

As a FinTech Product Specialist, this role will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our financial products by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, design, and marketing. The Product Specialist will be responsible for understanding market needs, defining product requirements, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that exceed customer expectations.

Key Accountabilities:

• Product Strategy – Collaborate with product managers to develop and refine product strategies aligned with business objectives and market trends in the FinTech industry.
• Requirements Gathering – Conduct market research, gather customer feedback, and analyse user data to identify opportunities and define product requirements.
• Product Planning – Develop detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide the development team in building innovative and customer-centric solutions.
• Agile Development – Work closely with engineering teams in an agile environment to prioritize features, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery of product increments.
• User Experience – Champion the user experience by collaborating with designers to create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces that enhance usability and drive engagement.
• Quality Assurance – Conduct thorough testing and validation of product features to ensure they meet quality standards and deliver a seamless user experience
• Documentation – Create comprehensive product documentation, including user guides, release notes, and training materials, to support internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Management – Communicate product updates, milestones, and dependencies effectively to stakeholders across the organization, fostering transparency and alignment.

Qualifications, experience and skills:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in product management, product development, or a related role, preferably in the FinTech industry.
• Have worked directly or indirectly in financial services, including banking, payments, lending, and investment products.
• Certification in product management (e.g., CSPO, PMP) and/or experience with user story writing would be valuable.

Skills

• Deep Understanding of FinTech
• Product Management: Possession of certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Product Management Professional (PMP) would be advantageous
• User-Centric Design:Familiarity with UX/UI design concepts and tools, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with design teams, will be beneficial
