Federation for Children with Special Needs

The Project Associate reports to the Family TIES Director. S/He coordinates project trainings and events, assists team with data entry and reporting, covers phones and assigns calls as needed. This position is 20 hours per week with excellent benefits. This position is remote, with occasional in-person meetings required.

  • Coordinate and schedule of all trainings and events
  • Provide administrative support with project activities
  • Advertisement of training opportunities through various platforms
  • Update and maintain Family TIES website/webpages
  • Assist with the coordination and production of monthly podcasts
  • Enters and maintains information into required database for reports
  • Coordinate the annual production of the Family TIES Resource Directory
  • Participate in project, One Federation, and all-staff meetings and annual VOC conference
  • Provide general administrative assistance and perform other director assigned tasks
  • Provide support with other projects as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred. (A combination of education and experience may be substituted)
  • Good oral and written communication skills, administrative and time-management skills
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office 365 suite, Canva (or other graphic design platforms) and WordPress
  • Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)
  • Prior work experience in early intervention and/or special education; parent of a child with a disability/special health care need is a plus!
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines
  • An independent worker who pays strong attention to detail and can take initiative and collaborate with team members
