Job Description
Job Purpose
The purpose of the Quality Assurance Engineer is to ensure the quality and reliability of KPS’s digital products through rigorous testing, assisting the development team in delivering high-quality software that meets business requirements and user expectations.
Operational Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the software meets business requirements and user expectations.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using appropriate tools, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Perform manual and automated testing to ensure comprehensive coverage and early identification of potential issues.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and provide feedback on potential risks and areas for improvement.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionality.
- Monitor and report on test progress, test results, and quality metrics to keep stakeholders informed of product quality.
- Maintain test environments and ensure they are up-to-date and representative of production environments.
- Set up and maintain automation frameworks and scripts to enhance testing efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with the Furniture team to maintain and update the digital product catalogue, ensuring data accuracy and relevance.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of the QA process by identifying opportunities for automation and streamlining existing procedures.
Person Specifications
Person Specification: Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in both manual and automated testing.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills.
Desirable and Advantegeous
- Experience in maintaining and updating product catalogues.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and related tools.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as .NET, Angular
- Experience with performance and security testing.
- Certification in software testing
- Previous experience in a similar industry or domain.
- Experience in maintaining and updating digital product catalogues.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and product data management.
- Understanding of digital catalog structures and data formats.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) related to digital catalogues.
- Knowledge of data import/export processes for digital catalogues.
- Previous experience working with suppliers to obtain and manage product data.
