About The Role

We focus on our clients’ strategic, operational, financial and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

  • Day-to-day project management of the engagement involving
  • Assisting in the structuring of the engagement approach, scope and deliverables
  • Managing the team to address the scope within the required timeframe and budget – conveying with the external stakeholders to keep them appraised of progress
  • Initial observations and issues – Coaching and addressing the issues/problems faced by the junior team members
  • Forming initial views and opinions on the engagement to debate with either lead Managing Director or Senior Managing Director
  • Taking duty for producing and delivering the client a substantial element of the deliverable
  • Take a lead role in business development activities, such as:
  • Organizing client relationship building events
  • Contributing to thought leadership presentations and events
  • Preparation and participation in formal pitches
  • On the job coaching of our team
  • Preparation and participation in training activities
  • Building and disclosing personal relationship networks

How You’ll Grow

The role will allow you flexibility to put in place your own framework for success and to work collaboratively with the wider team to support the exciting growth in the FTI Corporate Finance practice. The role is by its nature, flexible allowing for the expansion of opportunities or responsibilities outside of the areas set out above into other matters that you feel can contribute to the broader remit to enhance our technical compliance and operational leanness. There is also the opportunity to interact with industry bodies and networks and / or develop thought leadership. Given the focus on technical excellence, the role will demand that you remain keen to learn and full support will be given to any third-party training or coaching required to assist with the role.

Basic Qualifications / Qualifications & Experience

  • 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in a numeric subject
  • ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified (1st time passes)
  • Ability to work in a meritocratic structure which recognizes and rewards individual contribution
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of market drivers and competitive landscape
  • Self-confident and ability to deal directly with investment bankers, lenders and PE investors
  • Self-starter and inquisitive
  • Team player
  • Strong relationship and team management skills
  • Strong communication skills both written and spoken
  • Ability to manage time and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Previous significant transaction services consulting experience working within one of the ‘Big 4’
  • Relevant transaction services experience, consulting either with private equity or venture funds with deals in excess of $250m
  • Experience in leading, managing and mentoring teams
