Responsibilities:

* Identify, pursue, strategize, support, and lead the preparation of proposals for sustainable finance for climate change adaptation and mitigation in developing countries;

* Develop and promote technical leadership and learning on climate finance in multiple development settings, both internally (convening Tetra Tech’s experts to develop ideas and select opportunities to highlight) and externally (writing position papers and making presentations on behalf of Tetra Tech);

* Identify and cultivate new clients and partners to strengthen Tetra Tech’s market position for climate finance opportunities;

* Travel regularly to provide technical assistance to projects;

* Represent Tetra Tech to clients in the US and developing countries; and

* Act as Lead Technical writer or Proposal Manager, according to the needs of specific bids.

Qualifications:

* Minimum of eight (8) years of professional experience, including at least three (3) years overseas with strong client, supervisor, and peer recommendations;

* Demonstrated excellence and qualifications in sustainable finance for land use (e.g., forestry, biodiversity conservation, watershed management, agriculture) and climate change adaptation and mitigation;

* Experience working for, or collaborating with, partners in private sector, academia, research institutions, and government ministries and agencies; experience in cultivation of partner networks preferred;

* Ability to work in multi-disciplinary, cross-cultural teams in the USA and overseas with strong written, oral, and presentation skills;

* Demonstrated commitment to client satisfaction, through technical excellence of deliverables and/or managerial strengths in scope, schedule, and budget;

* Fluency in English;

* Must be comfortable working on concurrent projects and activities with poise and professionalism;

* This position requires frequent international travel (10-25%);

* Previous experience working with USAID required, and experience with additional clients preferred;
