SALARY: $58,700-$65,000 (Senior Evaluation Coordinator) $65,000-$75,000 (Evaluation Manager)
REPORTING STRUCTURE: This role will report directly to the Executive Director.

THE ROLE
This role will build on nearly 15 years of program implementation and impact evaluation to help grow Grassroots Health’s evidence-informed interventions, support a future research agenda and study design to bring Grassroots Health to official Evidence-Based Intervention (EBI) status, while also building capacity and improving program implementation through daily data monitoring and impact analysis.

Depending on your education and experience, candidates will be placed at either the Senior Evaluation Coordinator level or the Evaluation Manager level. While both roles have similar responsibilities, the Evaluation Manager will be expected to operate with greater independence. For more details on placement, please see the final section.
In this role, the Evaluation Manager will oversee the entire data monitoring and evaluation process from start to finish. Enthusiasm for public health evaluation, data analysis, and project ownership will be essential for success in this position. Some key responsibilities will include:
Program Evaluation Design:
- Collaborate with GRH’s program team and stakeholders to update and design evaluation frameworks tailored to specific youth programs.
- Update and develop evaluation methodologies, including logic models, theories of change, and data collection instruments.
- Ensure evaluations align with organizational goals, funding requirements, and best practices in the field.
Data Collection and Analysis:
- Oversee data collection methodologies, including survey design, interviews, focus groups, program fidelity, and observations.
- Manage data collection tools and databases to ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of evaluation data to generate insights and recommendations.
- Utilize statistical software and qualitative analysis tools to analyze data for reliability, validity, and impact.
Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare clear, concise, and compelling reports summarizing evaluation findings for internal and external stakeholders.
- Present evaluation results to program staff, leadership, funders, and other relevant audiences.
- Facilitate discussions and workshops to engage stakeholders in interpreting evaluation findings and developing action plans.
- Prepare metrics for grant proposals and reports.
Quality Improvement and Capacity Building:
- Provide training and technical assistance to program staff on evaluation methods, data collection techniques, and data analysis.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement by sharing best practices and lessons learned from evaluations.
Collaboration and Partnership:
- Collaborate with program teams to integrate evaluation activities into program planning, implementation, and improvement efforts.
- Build partnerships with external evaluators, research institutions, and community stakeholders to enhance evaluation capacity and leverage resources.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

- Bachelor’s degree required; MPH or other relevant Master’s degree preferred.
- Public Health Program Evaluation Experience: experience with data collection, management, data analysis and visualization, study design, and quasi-experimental studies.
- Experience working with Salesforce, Qualtrics, Google Suite, Tableau, and statistical analysis software.
- Flexible and Entrepreneurial; Willingness to adapt and be nimble. This role will include working with already established evaluation tools AND will involve creating new tools and procedures, this will take a nimble approach and someone excited to problem solve.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
The salary for this role is commensurate with experience. See below for more details on role and salary placement:
- Senior Evaluation Coordinator ($58,700-$65,000): Bachelor’s Degree & 2-4 years of relevant full-time work experience OR Master’s Degree & 0-2 years of relevant full-time work experience
- Evaluation Manager ($65,000-$75,000): Bachelor’s Degree & 4-6 years of relevant full-time work experience OR Master’s Degree & 2-4 years of relevant full-time work experience
Employee benefits include:
- 15 days of PTO in your first year, increasing to 20 days in your second and 25 in your third.
- 11 days off for Federal Holidays, in addition to an office shutdown from December 24th – January 1st and the day after Thanksgiving and July 4th off.
- Summer Hours: Office closes at 12 pm on Fridays in June and July
