We are proud to be Brooke. We are resourceful, share new ideas and help each other succeed. Together we make change happen.

Brooke is an international animal welfare charity dedicated to improving the lives of working horses, donkeys and mules. Operating in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, we reach over two million working horses, donkeys and mules – more than any other organisation. Healthy working horses, donkeys and mules help to put food on tables, send children to school and build better futures for themselves and their families.

Brooke are seeking a dynamic individual, with experience of building and maintaining key charitable investment relationships, to join our Philanthropy and Partnerships team.

You are joining Brooke at an exciting time. We are committed to expanding our Philanthropy programme through engaging existing supporters who may welcome the opportunity to give a significant gift. This role will be instrumental in driving forward the approach and stewardship programme for these donors and reporting against progress.

You will be supported by a major donor fundraising consultant who is reviewing the Philanthropy programme, assessing potential income and identifying opportunities for growth.

Criteria

You will need demonstrable track record of achieving targets raising funds from high net worth individuals, with an emphasis of proactively developing and building relationships, with bespoke propositions and customer relationship management.

You will require a track record of line management responsibilities.

There is a requirement for a successful candidate to have up to date knowledge of Institute of Fundraising codes of practice relating to major donor and trust fundraising in particular, and a basic knowledge of UK tax law relating to major giving, data compliance and gift aid issues.

Strategic planning and organising skills are also essential, especially around working to deadlines, monitoring progress against the plans and against expenditure budgets and engagement event management.
