About Human Connections
Human Connections is a non-profit organization that fosters global engagement through educational tours and student travel programs in Mexico. We aim to create meaningful connections between students and local communities, enhancing cultural awareness and academic outcomes.
Position Overview
Human Connections seeks a Global Student Programs Coordinator to join our team. This role involves working closely with the Executive Director to expand our global engagement trips. The ideal candidate will have strong technical, project management, and time management skills. The candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Executive Director by handling detailed logistics and marketing efforts and ensuring the success of each student program.
Responsibilities
Program Coordination and Logistics
- Organize and coordinate travel arrangements for student groups, ensuring safety and satisfaction.
- Plan and book transportation, accommodations, and activities.
- Research, recommend, and negotiate venues, menus, amenities, and activities.
- Coordinate visits to partners, organizations, educational institutions, and government entities.
- Develop travel itineraries that align with educational objectives, collaborating closely with the Executive Director.
- Maintain organized records of all communications with clients and suppliers.
Support to Executive Director
- Assist the Executive Director in implementing the overall vision for learning objectives and program marketing of these student experiences.
- Provide technical support for various platforms and tools used in program management.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring all tasks are completed on schedule.
- Handle administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings and preparing reports.
- Develop and maintain databases and CRM systems for efficient program management.
Financial and Service Provider/Vendor Management
- Manage service/vendor contracts, expenses, invoices, and budgets.
- Assist in the timely processing of invoices and trip payments.
- Monitor financial transactions and prepare budget reports.
Marketing and Outreach
- Promote Human Connections’ brand and mission through marketing materials and social media content.
- Help create engaging social media content related to Human Connections activities.
- Identify and utilize online platforms to enhance program marketing and recruitment such as Handshake, GoAbroad, and Idealist.
- Develop and implement email marketing campaigns.
- Attend and participate in events, conferences, and trade shows to promote Human Connections.
- Network with Human Connections’ partners, potential partners and stakeholders to foster collaborations.
Required Skills
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
- Exceptional customer service and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in sales and marketing strategies.
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity.
- Proficiency in Google Suite products.
- Strong problem-solving skills and flexibility.
- Technical proficiency with project management tools and software (e.g., Asana).
- Experience in social media management and content creation.
- Proficiency with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Education, International Relations, Business Administration, Marketing).
- At least 3 years of experience in program coordination, project management, or a similar role.
- Experience working in a non-profit or educational setting is a plus.
