We aim to protect women, youth, people with disabilities, and children’s rights by the constitution and legislation systems.

Job Purpose

The Supply Chain Manager at MWL is a central figure in the organization’s operations, overseeing the entire supply chain department. The role involves a strategic focus on procurement, logistics, inventory management, and transportation, aligning all functions with the NGO’s broader goals and objectives. The Supply Chain Manager ensures that all supply chain activities are conducted in an ethical, efficient, and cost-effective manner, supporting MWL’s critical missions in Turkey and Syria’s response.

Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibility 1: Supply Chain Strategy and Planning

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy in line with MWL’s missions and priorities.
  2. Collaborate with various departments to understand their supply chain needs, and align the supply chain operations accordingly.
  3. Monitor and evaluate market trends, supplier performance, and global best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibility 2: Procurement Management

  1. Lead the procurement process, ensuring adherence to quality, ethical, and regulatory standards.
  2. Negotiate contracts with suppliers and manage relationships, ensuring value for money and alignment with MWL’s values.
  3. Establish and maintain a vendor pre-qualification system, conducting regular assessments to ensure quality and reliability.

Key Responsibility 3: Logistics and Transportation

  1. Oversee the logistics and transportation functions, ensuring timely and efficient movement of goods across locations.
  2. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for logistics, including warehousing and fleet management.
  3. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to transport and customs.

Key Responsibility 4: Inventory and Warehouse Management

  1. Implement and manage an effective inventory control system, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
  2. Oversee the operations of all MWL warehouses, ensuring proper storage, security, and maintenance of inventory.
  3. Establish guidelines for stock disposal, rotation, and emergency response inventory.

Key Responsibility 5: Reporting and Compliance

  1. Generate regular reports on supply chain activities, performance metrics, and challenges.
  2. Ensure compliance with internal policies, donor requirements, and relevant laws and regulations.
  3. Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and insights.

Note: the above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department’s organizational chart.

Qualification (Education/Work Experience/Languages)

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or any related field.
  • 5 years at least of work experience in three at least of operations management fields related to MWL’s mandate.
  • Experience in developing SOPs, policies, and plans.
  • Experience in multi-sector such as Protection, Education, FSL, WASH, and emergency response.
  • Fluency in the English Language (4 skills: Listening – Speaking – Reading – Writing).
  • Fluency in the Arabic Language (4 skills: Listening – Speaking – Reading – Writing).

Desirable:

  • Master degree in degree in Business Administration, or any related field.
  • 8 years at least of work experience in operations management.
  • Good Command of the Turkish Language (4 skills: Listening – Speaking – Reading – Writing).
  • Turkish Nationals.
