Project Overview:
The PLF works with DFAT and DEWR to support the administration of the PALM scheme and facilitate opportunities for Australian employers to connect with workers from the Pacific and Timor-Leste. The PLF is managed by Palladium and has been established as a trusted intermediary in supporting Australia-Pacific circular labour mobility.
Role Overview:
The Labour Mobility Officer will support the operational activities required to process Long Term and Seasonal candidates, support approved employers with all paperwork and worker mobilisations in line with the PNG Labour Mobility Unit, policies and procedures.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Labour Mobility Engagement Manager and the Assistant Director’s, the Labour Mobility Officer will work closely with the Labour Mobility Unit team to:
- Provide customer service and undertake meet and greet duties, including fielding questions
- Data entry and Recruitment Database management and updates
- Scan and photocopy relevant documents as required by the PLS and SWP worker recruitment and mobilisation process
- Organize meetings/briefings with PLS workers as required by the Assistant Director and the Labour Mobility Engagement Manager
- Manage Short Term and Long Term filing systems, document storage and sharing with employers
- Organize logistics for employer visits as required by the Labour Mobility Engagement Manager
- Organise logistics for recruitment, training and awareness sessions
- Complete any other duties as directed by the Assistant Director’s

Successful applicants will be offered an initial contract until 30 June 2023.Salary is competitive and based on the PNG Public Service Position Classification and Grading at Grade 14.
