Compliance officer in our office in Dubai.
The Compliance Officer is responsible for efficiently and effectively managing the compliance and anti-money laundering tasks to ensure the protection of the firm and complying with the all-applicable regulatory requirements, in addition to on-boarding clients by processing new applications, whilst ensuring that all processes and procedures and followed strictly in accordance with the established regulatory framework and the firm’s customer due diligence policy.
Responsibilities
- Developing Compliance Policies and Procedures: Drafting, reviewing, and updating compliance policies and procedures to ensure they align with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Monitoring compliance with regulations and internal policies through audits, assessments, and regular reviews, generating reports to senior management and regulatory bodies as required.
- Keeping Abreast of Regulatory Changes: Staying updated on changes to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure the organization remains compliant.
- Dealing with customer complaints: in accordance with regulatory requirements, including performing the Firm’s Complaints Management Function
- Manage KYC- account opening for the new and existing clients: Including collection of account – specific information recording information via electronic account – opening system, retrieving relevant executed documentation from clients and compliance regulatory procedures.
- Managing the ongoing monitoring system: Clearing of alerts and transaction monitoring alerts.
- Assessing the money laundering risks: faced by the business through periodic risk assessments and taking the appropriate action following the receipt of an internal STR
Skills & Competencies
- High degree of self-motivation and ambition.
- Proven ability to work independently and competently handle multiple responsibilities, with high degree of accuracy, in a high -pressure environment.
- Demonstrate team player with excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to details.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with clients, officers, and peers in a professional manner
- Third language is a plus
Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance or any business-related degree
- 5 years’ experience of working in financial services is preferable.
- Excellent level of written and spoken Arabic and English.
- Highly proficient user of Word, PowerPoint and Excel
