A LOGISTIC HEAD OF DEPARTEMENT

Created in 1979, Action contre la Faim is a non-governmental organization that fights against hunger. Its charter of humanitarian principals- independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has been part of its identity for more than 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of under-nutrition, particularly during and after emergency situations linked to conflicts or natural disasters. RESPONSIBILITIES

Your main responsibility is to ensure the logistical performance of the mission and coordinate its implementation to provide the best support to the programs.
– Coordinates logistics at bi-national level (Poland-Romania), responsible for safety and security planning (including planning, supplies, standards, and comms). Ensures quality logistics services including comms and IT support (implementation, configuration and updating and data protection).
– Implement and enforce ACF logistics rules with regards to the supply chain, including by partners.
– Supervise the implementation of the supply strategy at the national level including the prevention and response to fraud and corruption; maintenance and stock levels for essential supplies.
– Ensure the quality of the logistics service provided throughout the mission; capacity building, supplier selection and contracting, manages and validates staff and HQ visitors movements, staff housing supplies, maintenance and safety.

REQUESTED PROFILE

At least a previous successful experience in international NGO at coordination level.
Experience with ACF would be a great asset. The candidate must be ready for multitasking, capacity building, and provide logistics support to partners and staff to achieve programs goals in compliance with donors standards.
