Overview of Bonyan Organization:

Bonyan is an independent non-governmental, non-profit organization concerned with Syrian human beings. It started its activities in the city of Aleppo and was registered in 2014 in Turkey.

Bonyan works to build human beings and their skills and to promote values through education and early recovery projects.

Bonyan’s refugee response program is structured around three axes: education, protection, and livelihoods.

Job Title: Finance Coordinator

Location: Gaziantep -Turkey

Reported to: Finance Manager

Job purpose:

Support the Finance manager through providing him with the necessary financial reports and supervising finance department operations such as following up with Finance Officers in Turkey office and checking up all the reports and financial documents which is related to projects by making sure that all operations are completed without mistakes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing financial transactions in accordance with the approved policies and procedures.
  • Coordination between the Finance Department and other departments.
  • Follow up and submit monthly and final financial reports for each project on time according to the requirements of the donor.
  • Submit a monthly report for each project with existing deviations and presenting suggested solutions.
  • Review the payroll in coordination with project officials and the HR department.
  • Follow up on the monthly allocation of expenses.
  • Follow up on the archiving of all project files between Syria and Turkey.
  • Ensure submission of legal financial reporting on time.
  • Cash Flow report for all projects.
  • Supervising the efficiency of the financial team.
  • Audit financial reports before sending them to donors.
  • present suggestions to improve the work quality and procedures.
  • Provide support in preparing budgets.
  • Any other work requested by the line manager within the limits of his competence.

Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Fluency in Arabic and English language spoken, written, and read.
  • Knowledge of accounting programs in general and QuickBooks.
  • professionally use Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Good organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Good knowledge of Turkish laws related to the work of organizations.
  • Experience of at least 5 years in the same field
