Salary: £29,980 per annum (Includes a market supplement)
Like many places in the UK, Jersey has been negatively affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Waiting lists for doctors, healthcare and access to mental health support grew. People lost contact with friends and community groups because they couldn’t go out. Community groups and clubs closed. This impacted elderly and vulnerable people a great deal. Now that lives are returning to normal, we want to help rebuild. At the British Red Cross, we can help reconnect people with their communities, but we need you.
With up to 20 volunteers and staff on Jersey supporting people in reconnecting with their community, they need someone to coordinate their efforts. They need someone to ensure the shared emergency response vehicle is maintained. They need someone to make sure any training or support is available to the team. They need you.
Our team need someone to liaise with the Jersey Fire and Rescue Service, hospitals, GPs and community health staff to take referrals for individuals that would benefit from our support. They need someone to coordinate an emergency response, complete assessments and when hands on support is needed, take a front line role delivering some of the services we provide. They need you.

When a crisis emerges, taking a hands on approach and supporting individuals alongside the support workers and volunteers that report into you.
